The Betty
On the hunt for what’s new in the ATL, Dawn and Terry headed to Buckhead to check out the new Kimpton hotel on East Paces Ferry. Let’s just stay they were not disappointed! The hotel opened in February 2021, a bold move given that the COVID vaccines had JUST been released. The Betty, the fancier of the 3 food outlets, was where they landed, and at the bar of course…who wouldn’t? It has a decidedly mid-century vibe, great lighting (dark and sultry), and a small menu of nicely curated selections including a raw bar menu. They started with cocktails in VERY nice glassware and highlighted with a stamped ice cube in Dawn’s Negroni 😊
For food, they tried the Grilled Cornish Rock Hen which was absolutely delish, and a side of their roasted Cauliflower, equally scrumptious. Service was top-notch.
We’ll see you there when we go back to check out the Willow Bar (outdoors with cocktails and light noshes) and St Julep, their campy roof-top venue which, in the words of our bartender, serves “carney food”. How can that be bad?
